Good afternoon. The Universe has a funny way of speaking to us. In a note about Mask of Illusion Shane Embury of Dark Sky Burial writes:
“This Track explores the concepts of the Death of Ego…removing the mask or various masks of Illusion we hide behind – At this time of my life i feel guided towards a new path which is terrifying as i just donât know where its going to lead but i believe its a new birth âĻ “
and the song lyrics are:
Mask Of Illusion
I stare through vacant eyes
reflections of my past still reside
Where life once was now only shadow and silence smiles
now only shadow and silence smiles
These masks of Illusion
Are now messengers of death
discard the masks of illusion
Rise from the Ashes and Radiate with fire
Old dreams of what was to
come
Beckoned me towards the sun
Yet flying high only crushed my soul
it crushed my fragile soul
These masks of Illusion
Are now messengers of death
discard the masks of illusion
Rise from the Ashes and Radiate with fire
The themes approached on Shane Embury’s note and lyrics echo those I have been approaching in The Listening Room HQ and The Polymath.

On The Listening Room HQ I continue the triad exploring the hidden physiology behind menâs patterns, choices, and resilience. The second post, Sound and Tempo as Environment, looks at how rhythm â from music BPM to daily routines â shapes the nervous system and emotional expression.
This note follows the first post in the series on the magazine:
And it sets the stage for the final post in the triad:

Hildegard von Bingen has been a source of wonder for me – and for countless others – across the centuries. Her life and work span theology, music, natural science, and creative practice, and her integrated approach to knowledge still resonates deeply today. For example on Hildegard von Blingin’ s cover of Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club.
On my second post on The Polymath I explore how her visionary thinking continues to inspire ways of living and working as a polymath, and how her example invites us to connect the threads of our own diverse interests. Read more about Hildegard von Bingen as a Source of Continuous Inspiration here:
