Fantasporto – Oporto International Film Festival2017 runs 20-05 at Teatro Rivoli, Porto. The festival includes the following sections: Fantastic Film, Directors Week, Orient Express, Fantas In Shorts, Portuguese Film Panorama, Premiere and Panorama and Retrospectives.

With more than 100 films to be exhibit, the Festival opens with The Age of Shadows by Jee-woon and closes with Through the Shadow by Walter Lima.

Some highligts:

Directors festured in Directors Week are; Eduardo W. Roy jr, Emily Harris & Ate de Jong, Khaled el Agar, Vassilis Mazomeno, Steve Balderson, José Pedro Lope, Kim Ki Duk, Jee-woon Kim, Roland Vranik and Licinio Azevedo.

On Orient Express Competition there’s: Seoul Station by Yeon Sang-ho (South Korea), Saving Sally by Avid Liongoren (Philippines), The Wailing by Na Hong (South Korea), Tuo by Roderick Cabrido (Philippines), Pamilya Ordinaryo by Eduardo Roy Jr (Philippines), The Net by Kim Ki Duk (South Korea), Dearest Sister by Mattie (Laos) and The Age of Shadows by Jee-woon Kim (South Korea).

Córtex – Festival de Curtas Metragens de Sintra runs 16-19 @ Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval, Sintra.

The short film festival has a nacional and international competition; Hemisfério, dedicated to cultural difference and another type of reality; Mini-Cortex, for children, and will show Jane Campion earlier filmes, like Passionless Moments, A Girl’s Own Story and After Hours.
