My Sessions for Men, and Maps & Readings at The Listening Room HQ

At The Listening Room HQ I offer sessions that help men, and Maps, and Readings to anyone who resonates.
These aren’t about performance, quick fixes, or abstract theory. They are about presence, clarity, and gentle guidance. About noticing what’s real, what’s moving, and what needs tending.
Sessions, are space for men to be met as you are. Presence is the practice, and clarity emerges from gentle, grounded support.
Maps & Readings are for everyone provide context and insight. They’re tools to see patterns, understand cycles, and reflect on life’s current. Not predictions, but mirrors for awareness. You can read more about The Listening Room HQ Sessions for Men, and Maps & Readings for everyone here.

From the Listening Room HQ – Living the Archetype of Unsupported Male Midlife
In a culture that often sidelines the midlife journey of men, this first post in a four-part series on The Listening Room HQ speaks to the archetype of the unsupported male midlife — the absence of elders, the lack of guidance, and the quiet crises that unfold when these are missing.
Read the full piece here: Living the Archetype of Unsupported Male Midlife.
This note opens a series that continues with:
- The Universal Midlife Crisis Script | The Midlife Crisis Loop
- From The Listening Room HQ – The Midlife Crisis Decision Map
- Mapping Midlife: A Practical Diagram of the Male Midlife Crisis

World Photography Day 2025 – A Few of My Favourite Photos
Photography is one of my two favourite arts, the other being architecture. Here are five black & white photos, from the 1940s to 2024, that inspire me.

Stanley Kubrick’s Self-Portrait is my computer wallpaper. I stare at Stanley, he stares at me, something ethereal clicks. Kubrick was a remarkable photographer. I dare say I prefer his photography to his films.

Yves Saint Laurent is my favourite fashion designer. Yves was also a photographer and a collector of photography. Of the many photos taken by or of Yves, I chose this one.

I came across Swiss photographer Jean-Marc Yersin’s work years ago through LinkedIn. This photo is from the series Vestiges du Val, Les carnets d’un autre temps no3/3.
We previously featured Yersin’s work La Ligne – Les carnets d’un autre temps no2/2.

Adelino Marques is a Portuguese photographer who privileges black and white photography. This image was elected best mobile photo of 2024 by The Guardian. It is one of the several rocks pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela use as reference points.

I’ve always loved this portrait of Noel Gallagher. I first saw it years ago somewhere on the internet and didn’t know who took it until I crossed digital paths with Kevin Westenberg.
